Raising Money for Missions in the United Methodist Church
Holy Rollers ride to encourage people to contribute all they can to missions supported by the United Methodist Church. The UMC has a long history of providing support and relief during disasters and emergencies around the world. People in need find a caring response to ease their burdens. The connectional nature of the UMC makes a focused and fast response anywhere in the world much easier. One of the best benefits of the United Methodist process for contributing to missions, called the Advance, is that 100% of your donation reaches the mission that you have chosen. Overhead costs are covered by the operating budgets of United Methodist Churches.

This year’s offering supports:
a. Partnerships of Hope Countries: Brazil, Cambodia, Mozambique, Haiti, Vietnam and Native American Ministries.
b. Undue Medical Debt Campaign (formerly RIP Medical Debt): helps eliminate medical debt that hurts the most vulnerable in Virginia. The goal is to raise $390,000 that will help eliminate debt amounting to $39 million. This campaign starts with the Annual Conference Offering and continues until the end of 2024.
